Sedna

The Red Fish Art Studio has built a large metal sculpture of Sedna (also known as Nuliajuk), the Inuit goddess of the sea and mother of all sea creatures, whose hair is made from recycled mooring wire and scales from coloured oil drums.

Sedna was originally meant to greet boaters at the Cambridge Bay port, but when Governor General Mary Simon visited, she arranged for the sculpture to eventually live at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.
